Where is It?

An individual bought a lovely painting to hang up on their living room wall.

Back at the house and ready to put it up, the only things that were needed were a nail, a hook, and a hammer,

...but finding all three were easier said than done.

There happened to be more screws than nails in the house, but eventually one that “would do” was found.

A picture hook had to be taken from something that was already hanging up.

And the hammer…

“...where did I put that thing?...”

They had a mind to get things organized but it was always put off.

Eventually they found the old rusted and chipped hammer with the splitting handle back in a drawer.

Before they got to the wall, they accidentally dropped it and the head came but they beat it back on and finished putting up the painting.

The hammer was returned to the drawer.
