A hiker climbing up the face of a mountain came upon an interesting, though disheartening sight, ...a sight he never thought he would encounter. He saw a young tiger caught in a poacher’s trap. Even though the tiger was “young”, it was still very sizable and certainly big enough to make a meal out of the hiker despite its predicament. Understandably hesitant to move closer, he did start to think that he should not just go the other way and leave the beast their. So he mustered up the courage and determined to let the tiger escape. Waiting until the tiger had his back to him, in one fell swoop he slipped the cinch wire from around the animal’s haunches, but it caught around its ankles before being completely removed… ...and in the short time that the wire snagged, the tiger was able to take a few bites and scrapes out of the poor hiker for his troubles; but luckily for him they were only superficial. Another hiker watched the whole thing from a distance and ran to the injured hiker after the tiger ran off, seeing if he was okay. “...I love your courage, but you know you could have been injured gravely or worse; if I were you, I wouldn’t have done it… ...a tiger’s nature is to lash out at anything when frightened.” “Well, my nature is to help those who are in harm.”
