A park ranger was the guide for a group of tourists.
Most of these tourists were suburban families or retirees; the fact that this was a tour through a well-known and exotic landscape meant that this was most likely one of the most beautiful sights they would have seen in their life.
Hiking through the ranges for most of the afternoon, they came to a clearing just before sunset for a quick break before heading back.
But this was specifically planned this way as this part of the country was known for its gorgeous multi-colored sunsets.
Seeing the awesome sight, one member of the group was stirred to words.
“I have never seen a sight so beautiful as this.”
With the guide responding:
“Yes, the scene is very beautiful…
...but it is a shame you had to say it.”
