An entrepreneur sought to find investors to fund his new enterprise. Even though he was very tenacious, he soon exhausted his rolodex of leads with little success. Despite a positive attitude and a desire to persevere, he became disheartened real quick. His thoughts were taken away from his goal, and he became myopic in his outlook… His sadness over his not getting what he wanted overtook the excitement he once had in striving to show the world his revolutionary idea. Coming back one day from another failed interview, driving on the interstate, he found the flowing traffic beginning to slow… ...and eventually halt altogether. Taking this as a personal retribution against him from all sides, ...he had a sudden idea… Why was he letting everyone and everything else determine his success and failure? Why not let “me” determine what I want to have happen? They are “my” ideas anyway. It is my life.
