After a long day of work, an individual just wanted to put their feet up and relax with a good book. After getting back, they slipped into their comfortable house clothes, made themselves a drink, and picked up the new bestseller to wind down the evening with. The introduction was “fine,” but they could not help but feel the plot was dragging; yet they trudged on along hoping that the book would get better. It did get better. As the rising action started to build so did their emotions. Every sentence was read with impatient anticipation of the unknown, yet they all the while prepared themselves for the inevitability of the climax and the falling action which came soon after. Finally, all resolutions were made and the end of the book was met. A glance at the clock saw that in what felt like only an hour, was actually five, ...and interestingly enough, the experience was more stressful than it was relaxing.
