A rambunctious kid did not care for sitting down so long in school; especially while being forced to learn “dull” subjects. So of course, he did everything he could to prevent both from happening. Sometimes he would cut class and hang out with his friends. Other times he would cut up and be the class clown (to varying degrees of success). But his teachers never got the joke, never failing to send him to the principal’s office when he was being disruptive. While at the principal’s office one day, he was getting a little antsy. Normally he was was pretty quiet, with nothing to do and all, but all of a sudden he was fidgety and restless. Noticing this, the principal gave the boy a note pad and a pen. “I would like to see what you have when I come back.” After 45 minutes the principal came back into his office to see what he had written. He was surprised to see though, that the boy had not written anything, but made elaborately folded paper airplanes; fashioned in such a way that each was able to sail across the room, out the window, and land into the dumpster thirty yards away from the building. “I thought I told you to write your thoughts down.” “You did not, sir, you asked only to see what I would do with the materials… ...this is the result.”
