An individual had a newspaper brought to his house every morning. It was delivered by a kid who, while he did not live in their neighborhood, was a friend and schoolmate of the other children who lived there; so he was a well known and trustworthy kid. However, they began to notice that the paper inserts had seemed as if ads were being tampered with and cut out, so the next time their paper was to be delivered, he wanted to ask the delivery kid what the deal was. The next morning they were up in time to see their paper being delivered and they asked the kid about the missing pages. “Yes, I am the one who is doing it and I apologize.” “Usually most people throw them away, and I thought that would be unfortunate if I can’t win the contest.” “Contest?” “Yes, the one where the most famous home remodeler will make over your entire home for free.” “I sent the ad in for every house on my route.” “I really hope Mrs. Richards wins though… ...she has been poorly recently.”
