Focusing on Yourself
None of our consciousnesses, psyches, Souls, or spirits are intertwined or connected in any way, contrary to popular belief.
Thus, there is no such thing as a soulmate, though of course, you can like and enjoy anyone you see fit to your heart’s content, but we did not come here “linked” in any way.
“Linked” meaning any special ties. Of course we are all “linked” in all the ways that science and religion has taught us.
The genetic link between you and your family, oh absolutely.
The atoms that make up you and the entire universe, oh sure.
What it boils down to is a simple “yes or “no” question (simple because the answer is obvious).
Are you responsible for any other consciousness than your own?
Are you controlling two brains at the same time?
Well, of course not.
So no matter how compassionate we want to be to our fellow humans (there need be no reason not to) we really have no responsibility to anyone other than ourselves.
Imagine if everyone really felt this responsibility to ourselves, it is very possible that in this scenario there will hardly be any social problems.
How is that possible?
Everyone will have supreme confidence in themselves. The proliferate lack of confidence we have in society today causes a lot of knee jerk reactions that result in real chaos.
Chaos simply because there is no order.
When you realize you only have yourself in this world, instead of that being a horrible realization, it is truly the greatest news you’ll ever receive.
