Autumn Leaves

The man of the house decided to try something new this year, since the way things had been going in years past, was not going to cut it anymore.

The couple of handsome trees in his backyard were flanked by the diseased and overgrown (and overhanging) trees of his three neighbors surrounding his backyard.

It seemed as if he raked his yard clean the day before, he would awake to a fresh snowfall of inches deep oak, sugar gum, and maple tree leaves the next morning.

It felt that he had to do back breaking work day after day in order to keep up with the falling leaves to keep his yard presentable.

It got more and more taxing and he got more and more angry…

...until he reached the final straw.

He decided not to fight the onslaught and let whatever falls, fall.

The scene even became quite pleasant as he sat on his deck watching nature take its course.
