 Contrary to popular belief, we do not want a life of ease. We do not want a clear path to unfold before us. (where's the fun in that?) If there was only one option, It would make things simple, but it would make things boring. The more choices you have the better; and even if you cannot see any, pretend that they are there. Your imagination just might create reality.

 "Tough love." Discipline = Freedom Ripping off the band aid. Not putting off until tomorrow what you can do today. "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Slow and steady wins the race. What objectively looks like a terrible situation can result in positive outcomes if you use it to your benefit.  The worst thing to do is to not do. 'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. You might not be battling Kipchoge for the world record in the marathon... ...but leave the records for Kipchoge. If you go the whole distance in training from the first hard fought and painful mile to running the full 26.2 miles in front of your fellow citizens spurring you on in your local race, ...what one hell of a journey. I do not know what your obligations are in life, or even your likes, but in whatever you do: Go the extra mile. |
