An individual did something they knew they were not supposed to do, and because of that…

...they regretted their actions.

This bad deed ate at them constantly; wearing heavily on their mind throughout the day.

It got so bad that it started to interfere with their habits and routines, so they had to seek help.

A friend turned them on to somebody who once had a faux pas so large the whole region knew of it.

When they met this individual they asked them simply how were you able to manage the remorse.

“What remorse?”

“...the remorse that you felt when you had your transgression.”

“Well you see, initially I felt intense guilt that what I did was not a fashionable thing to do, but then I thought to myself:

“What I did was just that, an action; one out of a million of particular potentialities of things that could have been done…”

“What was the problem exactly?”
