A Learning Moment

​A young man from a rural town was at a crossroads in his life.

He was ready to do something and be something in the world…

...but the only problem was that he did not know what to do.

Furthermore, he had not much in the way of skills so he was largely unemployable.

Because he did not have a job, most of his days were spent wandering around, but this was actually a good thing for him since he was able to observe so much.

He had it in his mind one day, instead of deciding on something he wanted to do, he resolved just to go full force into the first opportunity he saw.

There was a major problem in his town with the roads not having delineations, on top of the sidewalks being few and far between.

Of course, he walked around everyday, so he decided to take a shovel and dig out a sidewalk little by little every day he went out.

He started out just by himself, yet his project attracted enough attention to get an ever increasing stream of helpers.

Because of the help, the whole town had new sidewalks for the pedestrians, and the young man had made a name for himself in something he never thought he would ever do.
